They were shadows, echoes, and ghosts.
Souls that have found other hosts,
Ancient shipwrecks on forgotten coasts.
Strangers not quite unknown,
Dreams which have taken a life of their own.
Stories from long ago I had to postpone.
Signposts leading me homeward,
A lighthouse guiding me forward,
Perhaps to a life forgotten, toward…
The beginning of an ellipsis,
After a washed-out storm of spritzes
Memories found in a near apocalypses.
Voices that bounce off walls,
Flashbacks to familiar halls.
In Ireland I found these calls.
In a single echo: A lifespan
A blurry woman, a blurry man
Have found me, and to them I ran.
